A total of 19 responses were received consisting of 16 Yes Votes, 1 No Vote and 2 Abstentions. Per the requirements of the IRR process, a two-thirds majority is required for an IRR to be considered approved. The outcome of this vote exceeded the two-thirds requirement with 94% in favor of the proposed resolution. A detailed report of the voting results for POC921 is attached.

The voting period for this IRR has begun and will extend through 11/8/21. A ballot for this IRR was sent to the voting body via email on 10/19/21. The voting body is comprised of current IAIABC jurisdictional and EDI members in good standing. Each eligible organization is allowed one vote per IRR. It is the responsibility of the designated voter (or the alternate, if the designated voter is not available) to discuss the issue up for vote with all stakeholders within their organization and vote accordingly.

The final 14-day review period has begun for this IRR and will extend through October 18, 2021. Please respond with any final feedback or objections.

FINAL PROPOSED RESOLUTION:

The title of the new WCPOLS State Premium Record being added to existing 9-byte filler space will be CLAIM ADMINISTRATOR FEDERAL EMPLOYER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (FEIN) and the definition is: Report the Federal Employer Identification Number corresponding to the Claim Administrator for the state being reported.   

As this will need a new DN assigned to it for POC we will use the same definition and format of 9 length A/N that is used for WCPOLS, we suggest adding “FOR POC” after the WCPOLS title for POC 3.0, Claim Administrator FEIN for POC. We will also add a special note in the processing notes for this new POC DN to alert users not to match to existing Claims Standard DN0187, Claim Administrator FEIN.

This IRR will be moved to Final 14-Day Review on Monday, September 27, 2021.
