Voting for IRR CLM901 completed on Friday, October 30, 2020. The proposed resolution was APPROVED along with the implementation timeline.

A total of 34 responses were received consisting of 28 Yes Votes, 1 No Vote and 5 Abstentions. Per the requirements of the IRR process, a two-thirds majority is required for an IRR to be considered approved. The outcome of this vote exceeded the two-thirds requirement with 96% in favor of the proposed resolution. A detailed report of the voting results for CLM901 is attached.

The voting period for this IRR has begun and will extend through 10/30/20. A ballot for this IRR was sent to the voting body via email on 10/12/20. The voting body is comprised of current IAIABC jurisdictional and EDI members in good standing. Each eligible organization is allowed one vote per IRR. It is the responsibility of the designated voter (or the alternate, if the designated voter is not available) to discuss the issue up for vote with all stakeholders within their organization and vote accordingly.

The Final 14-Day Review period has begun for this IRR and will extend through 10/09/20. Please respond to this post with any additional feedback. Voting is scheduled to begin on 10/12/20.

Attached are the notes from our most recent workgroup meeting (09/08/2020) as it relates to IRR CLM901 - Request to expand events that require Benefit Payment Issue Date (DN0192).

The workgroup believes it is ready to present the final drafted proposal at the Claims Committee meeting this week during convention.   The proposed IRR in its final draft is attached.  Please know the notes following the life of this IRR are available in a separate post within this same thread, posted today as well.  This post only contains the IRR draft itself.  

The Claims Committee meeting is scheduled for September 16th from 1:30pm-3:30pm Central Time.

The workgroup believes it is ready to present the final drafted proposal at the Claims Committee meeting this week during convention.  Please see the attached notes which follow the life of this IRR since its start. The proposed IRR will also be shared as a separate document in another post.

The workgroup is continuing to iron out the details to this IRR, as captured in the attached notes (most recent meeting notes start on page 10).  As a part of our last review, we did capture specific Business Scenarios that would need updating upon approval of this IRR and have included the individual scenario link/name, line item, and data to include.

Attached are the notes from our first workgroup meeting (7/28/2020) as it relates to IRR CLM901 - Request to expand events that require Benefit Payment Issue Date (DN0192). 

Background:  Alaska has entered an IRR to the Claims Committee asking that the definition of DN0192 Benefit Payment Issue Date be expanded so it can be required on additional MTC’s.   Alaska needs this change to meet their statutory requirements.

Today, the DN0192 Benefit Payment Issue Date is only allowed on MTC’s IP, AP, PY, RB, SX.  This IRR will also impact DN0195 Payment Issue Date. 

Our next workgroup meeting is scheduled for August 11 at 11:30am Central Time.
